Take FLORA-L TABLET as prescribed. You are advised to take FLORA-L TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as dizziness, headache, nausea, diarrhea, dry mouth, abdominal pain, headache, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), unusual tiredness and weakness. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.

FLORA-L TABLET contains a class of medicines known as ‘gastrointestinal agents,’ containing. gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus). It is basically a gastroprokinetic agent that increases gastrointestinal motility. It works by increasing the release of certain chemicals (acetylcholine); which helps to improve the movement of food inside the intestine. Directions for Use
The tablet form of FLORA-L TABLET should be swallowed as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew or crush the tablet. Depending on your medical condition, your doctor will decide how long you need to take FLORA-L TABLET.

Drug Warnings
Do not take FLORA -L TABLET if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor before taking FLORA-L TABLET if you have a stomach or intestine tumor, liver disease. Do not take FLORA- L TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as its safety and efficacy are not yet established. FLORA-L TABLET may cause dizziness and sleepiness, so drive only if you are alert. FLORA-L TABLET should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol and grapefruit juice along with FLORA- L TABLET as it could lead to increased drowsiness and can elevate stomach acid production. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side-effects. FLORA-L TABLET should be taken with caution in elderly patients as they are more prone to adverse effects of FLORA- L TABLET, so that dose adjustment might be required. If you have gastrointestinal bleeding, please do not take FLORA-L TABLET as it might increase your bleeding and lead to bloody or coffee-colored stools.
Drug-Drug Interactions:
FLORA -L TABLET may have interaction with antibiotics (erythromycin), anti-fungal (ketoconazole), anti-malarial (quinine), heart medicines (amiodarone, sotalol), anti-psychotic (haloperidol), antihistamine (terfenadine).
Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid smoking, grapefruit juice and alcohol consumption. Alcohol intake leads to increased production of stomach acid, thereby increases acidity and heartburn.
Drug-Disease Interactions: FLORA-L TABLET may have interactions with liver, kidney or heart disorders, respiratory disorders (hypercapnia (too much carbon-di-oxide in the bloodstream) and hypoxemia (low level of oxygen in bloodstream)), gastrointestinal bleeding, any obstruction in the intestine, stomach or intestine tumor.
